Infinite Rainbow Skintone (Color Ramps)

*Still improving slider quality. Updates to come. Still need to push the lights ligher for some hues.

Update 9/6/15: FIXED! If these quit working for you, they should be fine now. Please send an email to podcreature@gmail.com if you encounter any bugs or issues. To read about what was fixed, see this thread: http://modthesims.info/showthread.php?p=4863569&posted=1#post4863569

Inspired by Scones's "Scatter Genes," this is something I've wanted to make for a long time. I was quickly hooked on the variety Scatter Genes added to my game, and started to crave more. I began to think of a different systematic approach to suit my own tastes.

These sets mostly keep the warmest end of each gradient on the left, and coolest on the right. There's saturated, desaturated, light and dark gradients for each hue in the sliders, making it possible for almost any color variation to appear in your game, hence the cheesy over-achieving name: "Infinite Rainbow." While their range enables vast diversity, there's underlying rules, as with real DNA.

Here's an example of these sliders at work in-game, with ten randomly generated children from two possible pairings: green x red, and lavender x red.

*Pictured with Navetsea's Face-In default replacement texture. The rainbow sliders are color ramps only, and should use the texture of whatever default replacement skintone you prefer.

And finally, a huge thank you to CmarNYC for creating the Skininator, which enabled me to make these, and was way easier to use than I expected, once I quit being a chicken, and tried trouble-shooting my particular set of issues with Photoshop and export settings.

(The ramps pictured are not final drafts, the quality of the ramps in-game will be better.)

Set 1: Vivid

Set 2: Muted

Set 3: Light

Set 4: Blendy
